You Will Keep In Perfect Peace Him Whose ...You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you. ~ Isaiah 26:3

Lord, please today give me your perfect peace. Keep my mind and thoughts steady. I trust in you. You are all I have. 

The path of the righteous is level. You make the way of the righteous smooth. ~ Isaiah 26:7

Lord, remove the obstacles and barriers before me. Sand this path in the same way those men in our home sand our floors. Make my way smooth!

My soul yearns for you in the night. In the morning my spirit longs for you. ~ Isaiah 26:9

Father, during the night my fears flourish in dreams. At 5 AM my fears haunt me. Please, replace my dreadful thoughts with a longing for you. 

Your judgement leads to righteousness. Grace does not lead to righteousness. Isaiah 26:10. All we (I) have accomplished, you have done for us. (me) ~ Isaiah 26:12

Thank you Father for the good run we enjoyed so far. If now is the time to make a change, please me it clear. If the Promised Land lies ahead, please let me know. If not, let me know that, too.

Karen desperately needs a job. Will you help her?

Lord, care for John’s spouse who is a stroke victim. He is disabled vet with lots of medical problems. Both need your love, protection, and care.

Lord, here is Karen’s petition: (a different Karen – You have lots of people with the same name 🙂

We desperately need your prayers as we currently find ourselves in great financial. Both of us are up in age; health problems have rendered us disabled. Our combined Social Security is less than $1,500.00 per month. After making our mortgage payment of $501.00 we barely manage to make ends meet. So far we have managed to squeeze by, but our resources are depleted. Last week the engine blew up in our old Taurus. To replace the engine the cost would be $6,000.  As an older car the repair cost would exceed the car’s value. We are in a dire situation. We live in a rural area, with no neighbors and no family anywhere even close. The closest town is more than a dozen miles away. We have no way to buy food, medication, or keep our doctor appointments.  Please pray for us. We need a miracle.

Lord, please, please send a miracle!

I Am the man Who Has Seen Affliction I am the man who has seen affliction. God has driven me away and made me walk in darkness rather than light. I have forgotten what prosperity is. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Lamentations 3: 1, 17, & 22.

Lord, have mercy on me. Forgive my sins. Wash me in the blood of Christ. Keep me from harm. Keep me from sin.

God said, “I will be with you. I AM who I AM. This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” Exodus 3:14, 15

Lord, be with me today. Bless all my efforts. Help me to market our books and find new readers, editors, managing editors, and individuals who wish to make a small amount of money promoting our books.

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him. Lamentations 3:25

Father, I look to you for help and hope. 

Lord, please help Cathy. The doctor found out she has something wrong with her kidneys. They’re not functioning correctly. They’re doing tests, now. Care and comfort Cathy. Help her doctors discern the cause of her illness.

Carolyn needs financial help and assistance with health issues. Please wrap your arms around her.

Lord, please help Sara’s daughter find a job. Guard this child while see deals with several problems. If you will, make them go away.

Father, Cynthia’s aunt who is 93. Please help her aunt find relief from her arthritis.  Also help Cynthia speak truth and love into the lives of her students and their families. Provide Cynthia’s family with safety and good health.

They Quarreled and Grumbled …

Lord, what am I do to with these authors? ~ Exodus 17:4

Lord, I need your help. I need elders – wise individuals who can serve on LPC’s advisory board. I need to expand our staff. I need your leadership. Please send me a Joshua! Someone uniquely suited to be a conquerer and a future leader for LPC. An aid to me and someone loyal and faithful to you.

The Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. ~ Romans 8:27

Lord, may your Spirit speak to you on my behalf. 

In all things God works for the good of those who love him – who have been called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28

Please, Father, show me a better way to run this company and serve you in this calling.

The Spirit of the Lord Will Rest …

The Spirit of the Lord Will Rest ...The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him. He will have the Spirit of Wisdom, Discernment, Counsel, Power, Knowledge, and Fear of the Lord. He will delight in the Fear of the Lord. ~ Isaiah 11:2-3

My Father, may I have your Spirit of Wisdom, Discernment, Counsel, Power, Knowledge, and Fear of the Lord. May your Righteousness be my belt. May Faithfulness be the sash around my waist. 

My Father will honor the one who serves me. John 12:26

Lord, I don’t seek honor, but I do seek work in your kingdom. Refresh my spirit, give me an advisory team and staff who understands your vision in this work. May your work and word prevail. 

God foreknew … he predestined some to be conformed to the likeness of his Son. God then called and justified (marked for a good and legitimate reason). He glorified. Will God not also graciously give us all things? Romans 8:29 & 32

Lord, you called; I answered. Please give me the resources, help, and vision to do this work. Transform me into the image of your Son.

Teresa would love to feel better and not have to struggle to pay her electricity bill. She faces the choice of remaining cold or trying to scrape together enough money to keep the lights and heat on. She thanks you for all she has. I ask that you bless her with the funds necessary to stay warm – in your arms, but also in her home. 

Father, Erin became extremely ill during the summer of 2015. Her body was damaged and still has not completely healed. Please heal and comfort Erin. You are in the restoration business. Please restore Erin.

Lord, Kathryn is bed bound, but you are with her. Please help Kathryn spend more time with you. Allow her world to expand in your presence.

Lord, please care for Annie’s old little dog, Jessi. Jessi is not doing to well. Annie doesn’t want Jessi to suffer. Please healAnnie’s dog or comfort her as she struggles with this tough decision. Lord, help Wendy’s neighbor, Iona, who had a stroke last weekend.  She’s 49 and is the single mom of two special needs children (one new adult, one tween).  Doctors say she has a 50/50 chance of surviving the stroke, and if she does, she will be paralyzed.  She is comatose in the hospital and on life support.  I know that Iona believes in you, but Wendy is unsure of her salvation.  You are a BIG God. Wendy asks for a BIG miracle for Iona and her family!

Please care and comfort Ann, who is 82, and in the hospital with pneumonia.

Lord, I know full well that I can do nothing without your help. You alone are my strength and the source of wisdom. I have no understanding unless it comes from you.

In that day the remnant of Israel will truly rely on the Lord.  ~ Isaiah 10:20

My Father, you alone are my help. Help me, now.

The Lord Almighty will raise his staff over the waters as he did in Egypt. ~ Isaiah 10:26

Lord, may your staff protect me and my family today.

Lord, please give Angela strength to get through the daily pain she suffers due to a rare nerve disorder. She also has a rare heart disease. Neither is curable. Her family is financially strained due to her inability to work, the cost of monthly medication payments, the office visit co-pays, and medical bills. Please comfort and care forAngela and her family.

Deborah needs a financial blessing and a new place to live. She needs a church home. She is separated and seeks salvation for her husband and children. She acknowledges that with you all things are possible.

One of Melanie’s coworkers was in a horrible car accident. He is currently on a ventilator and has been put on dialysis. Initial reports indicated that he was paralyzed from the neck down — then from the chest down. She doesn’t know the extent of his injuries, but he is in critical care and facing a long, tough road. Another of Melanie’s coworkers is having to care for his parents. That individual’s father was moved into a nursing home because he wasn’t eating and his health continues to deteriorate. Now that coworker’s mother is having health issues. Lord, please wrap your arms around both of these coworkers and their families. May you peace and healing flow into these situations.
