II Chronicles 36

II Chronicles 36The Lord God sent word to the people time and again through his messengers because he had pity on his people. But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath for the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. II Chronicles 36:15-16

Jeremiah the prophet spoke the word of the Lord. II Chronicles 36:12

Lord, may we be your messengers. Though others mock your Word, despise your laws and commands, and scoff at those who seek to obey and honor you, may you arouse within us a love for those who are living in darkness.

II Chronicles 35

II Chronicles 35Josiah set the temple in orderII Chronicles 35:20

Have we set our temple in order? If not, why?

None of the kings of Israel ever celebrated the Passover as did Josiah. II Chronicles 35:18

Let us celebrate the fact that God has “passed over” our sins through the blood of his Son, Christ. May we do so as if our lives depend upon it.

II Chronicles 32Hezekiah prayed to the Lord, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign. But Hezekiah’s heart grew proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him. II Chronicles 32:24

Gove gave Hezekiah very great richesII Chronicles 32:29

Hezekiah succeeded in everything he undertook. II Chronicles 32:30

But God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heartII Chronicles 32:31

Lord, I do not ask for a great sign. I only ask that you give me success in all that I do within your will. I do not ask for riches. I do ask for sales and success for our authors. Please do not leave me! Please do not test me!

II Chronicles 32: 8-22

II Chronicles 32: 8-22There is a greater power with us than with him (our enemies). With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and fight our battles. II Chronicles 32

King Hezekiah cried out in prayer to heaven about this. And the Lord sent an angel who annihilated all the fighting men. II Chronicles 32:20

So the Lord savedII Chronicles 32:22

Lord, you are our savior. You are the God of great power. You are the God who helps. I cry out to you now and ask that you remove those on the high court who do not fear you: who do not honor your Word, your commands, laws, and statutes. Replace those individuals with men and women who fear you and love your justice.

II Chronicles 26

II Chronicles 26From the time Amaziah turned away from following the Lord, they conspired against him. 26:27

“I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have not listened to my council.” 26:16

So God worked that He might hand them over to . . . 26:20

Lord, may I not turn away from you. Help me to always listen to your council.

II Chronicles 25

A man of God came to Amaziah and said, “God has the power to help or to overthrow. The Lord can give you much more than that.” 25:18

Lord, your words says you have the power to help or to overthrow. That you can give much more than we need or ask. I ask that you give LPC and CDM much more than we need or ask. Though our bank account is empty, I ask that You come through. Amen.
