II Chronicles 24

“Do it now.” But the Levites did not act at once. 24:5

At the king’s command, a chest was made and placed outside at the gate of the temple of the Lord. The chief priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this regularly and collected a great amount of money.24:11

With the money they rebuilt the temple of God according to its original design and reinforced it. 24:13

After the death of Jehoiada, the officials of Judah came and paid homage to the king, and he listened to them.  They abandoned the temple of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and worshiped Asherah poles and idols.

 

Lord, when you command me to act, may I respond immediately. May you show me how to fund these ministries that we offer to Your Kingdom. If it’s a chest, may it be full. If it’s book sales, may they come in abundance. In all ways, may we only serve you and build up the Body of Christ. When tempted, may your Spirit keep me from turning to man-made gods. 

II Chronicles 23

“The king’s son shall reign as the Lord promised concerning the descendants of David.” 23:3

They presented Joash with a copy of the covenant and proclaimed him king. 23:11

 

Lord, may you reign in my life. May your promises be true in my life. May my descendants serve you. May my family be in covenant with you and obey your laws and commands. 

II Chronicles 18

II Chronicles 18A spirit came forward and said, “I will entice him. I will go and be a lying spirit.” The Lord replied, “Go and do it. You will succeed in enticing him.” II Chronicles 18:20-21

Lord, please keep me from lying spirits, from being enticed to do things that are contrary to your laws and commands. May those who seek to deceive me fail.

Be victorious in God

They were being attacked at both front and rear. Then they cried out to the Lord. II Chronicles 13:14

At the sound of their battle cry, God routed Jeroboam. II Chronicles 13:15

The men of Judah were victorious because they relied on the Lord, the God of their fathers. II Chronicles 13:18

 

Lord, you are my God. You are with me. When I am attacked, I cry out to you. Help me to always rely on you for victory. Amen
