Eddie Jones Chillin'

Eddie is an award-winning author of YA fiction and the “Pirate Preacher.” Known for crafting suspenseful mysteries and humorous adventures that captivate young readers, he is celebrated for his witty storytelling and creative world-building. Eddie is the author of The Caribbean Chronicles, a time-travel pirate fantasy adventure series, and The Caden Chronicles, a mystery series based on supernatural myths that he believes have their roots in the Bible—ghosts, walking dead, kings turned into beasts—elements of “blood and bread” that lead to eternal life. In each case, Nick Caden seeks to debunk the supernatural “myth” and uncover the truth.

Praised for their wholesome, faith-based, and humorous approach. A seasoned writer, Eddie’s work has earned multiple Selah Awards for tween/teen YA fiction, the INSPY Award, and the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.

Outside of writing, Eddie is a devoted father of two boys, an avid sailor, and a pirate at heart who loves to surf. Married to a girl he met at a stoplight in West Palm Beach during spring break—”a long time ago in a Ford Galaxy far, far away”—Eddie infuses a great sense of humor and imagination into everything he writes. You’ll find him on Sundays and Mondays in downtown Raleigh, spreading the Good News of Jesus and ministering to those who are still awaiting the abundant life Jesus promised.

Eddie helped launch Christian Devotions Ministries and is its president. He is the former CEO of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, a Christian book publishing company. He is Executive Editor of Inspireafire.com  and Devokids.com. (If you want to write for IAF, hail this pirate!) He’s also a Writers’ Coach.

"The Caribbean Chronicles" is a humorous time-travel pirate fantasy adventure series. The third book, "The End of Calico Jack," won first place in the Selah awards for Young Adult literature. Book four, "No Good Stede Goes Unpunished" is a finalist for the Selah awards for Young Adult literature.

The Caden Chronicles middle grade series is wholesome, humorous reading with a flair for unexpected adventure. The series has a spooky but spiritual message based on real "monsters" (sort of) found in Scripture. Hints at werewolves, ghosts, mediums, vampires, walking dead, mummies, demons, witches, and phantoms are all mentioned in the Bible. But are they real? Nick Caden doesn't think so. In each episode he sets out to prove who the real killer is.

All of Eddie's YA and Middle Grade books are available as audiobooks. Eddie calls his novels, "fun, fast reads for boys who don't like to read."
