“I will put my Spirit on him. He will not raise his voice in the streets.” Isaiah 42:1-2

Makes me wonder about the effectiveness of street-preachers and whether God’s Spirit is on them.

“He will not falter or be discouraged.” 42:4

Boy could I use this blessing today. How about you?

“I am the Lord; that is my name.” 42:8

“Lord” works. I can go with that. I don’t need to remember all those other Biblical names. Lord it is.

“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known. Along unfamiliar paths I will guide them.” 42:16

Lord lead me on new paths and in new ways to grow LPC and CDM.

“You have seen many things, but paid no attention.” 42:20

Yes, yes I have. I wish now I’d stopped and focused, instead of rushing ahead without looking.

“Which of you will listen or pay close attention in the time to come?” 42:23

This is the question for all of us, isn’t it? Who of us will pay attention?
