Matthew Chapter Five

“Blessed are those who mourn.”

“Blessed are the meek.”

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.”

“Blessed are the merciful.”

“Blessed are the pure in heart.”

“Blessed are the peacemakers.”

“Blessed are those who are persecuted because they are righteous.”

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, say all kinds of evil things against you because you are a follower of Christ.” Matt 5:3-12

“You are the salt of the earth.” Matt 5:13

“You are the light of the world.” Matt 5:14

“Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.” Matt 5:16

“I have not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come to fulfill them.” Matt 5:17

“Until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law.” Matt 5:18

“Anyone who breaks the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven.” Matt 5:19
